2. Overview — what we process

• Technical server/CDN logs when you load the site (hosting)
• Local browser storage (theme, calculator inputs, notice banner) — no tracking cookies
• Share-link parameters in the URL / browser history
• Content of emails you send us
• Aggregated page views via Vercel Web Analytics (no analytics cookies)

We use no advertising or social tracking cookies and no affiliate links.

3. Calculators & input data

Finance and launch calculators run primarily client-side in your browser. By default, entered numbers are not stored on our servers as a user profile. Optionally your browser stores scenarios in localStorage so inputs can be restored on the same device. Data only leaves your device if you create a share link or send content yourself.

Legal basis for functional local storage: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a usable site) and, where applicable, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR related to using the online service.

4. Hosting (Vercel)

The site is hosted via Vercel Inc. (USA). When you visit, IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent and referrer may be processed in server/edge logs as technically required. Retention follows the provider’s settings and practices.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (operation, security, abuse prevention). Transfers to the USA rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. SCCs / Data Privacy Framework — see Vercel’s notices): vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

5. Web Analytics (Vercel)

We use Vercel Web Analytics (provider: Vercel Inc., USA) to count aggregated page views (which URLs are opened how often). According to the provider the script sets no cookies and does not build an advertising profile. It measures site reach, not individual user profiles.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in understanding use of the free calculators). We do not show a cookie banner for this because no non-essential cookies are set. You may object under Art. 21 GDPR (contact via the imprint).

Transfers to the USA rely on the provider’s safeguards (e.g. SCCs / Data Privacy Framework). See: vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy.

6. Cookies & local storage

Essential / functional (no tracking):

• Theme (light/dark) — localStorage
• Calculator scenarios — localStorage
• Storage notice dismissed — localStorage

Non-essential cookies: none. There are no ads and no affiliate links.

7. Contact

If you email us, we process the data you provide to handle the request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR), retained as long as needed for correspondence and any legal defence.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection (Art. 15–21), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria that is the Datenschutzbehörde: dsb.gv.at. You may withdraw consent at any time with future effect.

9. Retention

Server logs: per hoster. LocalStorage: until you clear browser data or reset tools. Email: until purpose ends or statutory retention applies.

10. No automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making under Art. 22 GDPR that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

11. Changes

We may update this policy when services or law change. The version published on this page applies.

12. Children

This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

13. Recipients

Hosting/CDN provider (currently Vercel Inc., USA) as processor / technical vendor. No sharing for advertising. If you email us, your mail provider is on the path to us.
